About Structurally Insulated Panels "SIPs"
SIPs are the building material of the future, but they've actually been around for many years. In USA and Europe, SIPs are the go-to building envelope material for large and small structures, because they offer unmatched insulation and draft exclusion properties, with unparalleled architectural design flexibility.   
Many industries can benefit by switching from timber frame or block work to SIPs, but it's worth stressing that not all SIPs are constructed in the same way. SIPs are constructed with three layers: Timber (OSB) Sheet - Insulation layer - Timber (OSB) Sheet. 

Some inferior panels are manufactured by stacking the three pre-fabricated layers and gluing them together. This mechanical level of manufacturing technology has limitations and is a much higher risk of delamination and the bond layer failing.
Premier SIPs panels are pressure injection moulded, which means the two timber boards are clamped in place and liquid resin is pumped into the space between them. As the resin cures with an exothermic reaction, it binds into the fibres of the board and provides mechanical and additional chemical bonding, for far superior rigidity and durability.
